The upcoming series adaption of Stephen King’s Mr. Mercedes has added another star to its cast that already includes Harry Treadaway, Brendan Gleeson, Holland Taylor, Kelly Lynch and Jharrel Jerome.
Golden Globe winner and ‘Weeds’ actress, Mary-Louise Parker will co-star as Janey Patterson, a no-nonsense but charming woman, who is strong-willed, THR reports.
The script for the series is being penned by David E. Kelley who doubles as showrunner. ‘Game of Thrones” Jack Bender will be in the director’s chair for the series, set to debut this fall on Direct TV.
King’s novel follows a twisted killer (Treadaway), who taunts a retired police officer (Gleeson) with a series of letters prompting the cop to make it his person mission to hunt the killer down before he strikes again.
