Raven Banner has snagged the rights to the horror-comedy ‘Dead Shack’ from director Peter Ricq who is making his debut. Ricq co-wrote the script for the feature with Philippe Ivanusic-Vallee and David LeBlanc. Lauren Holly, Donavon Stinson, Valerie Tian, Lizzie Boyd, Mathew Nelson-Mahood, and Gabe LaBelle co-star.
The film, inspired by horror movies of the ’80s, follows three teens, Jason, Colin, and Summer, on a weekend getaway at a run-down cottage in the woods. The kids must save their hard-partying parents from a neighbor looking to feed her undead family. I guess that’s what happens when you pick a rental from Craigslist.
Goodbye Productions’ Amber Ripley and Shayne Putzlocher of Trilight Entertainment will produce ‘Dead Shack’. Glenn Paradis and Sara Shaak will serve as executive producers.
‘Dead Shack’s’ official trailer has not arrived, but we do have the Kickstarter proof of concept trailer for you to check out.
