The North American rights to Bev Land’s Lycan has been acquired by MVD Entertainment in conjunction with Parade Deck, Deadline reports.
Produced by and starring Land’s wife Dania Ramirez (Devious Minds), this horror thriller co-stars Vanessa Angel, Gail O’Grady, Rebekah Graf, Parker Croft, Jake Lockett, Craig Tate, and Alina Puscau.
In the film, six college kids in a sleepy Southern town are assigned a group project to rediscover a moment in history, one of them sets in motion a horrific fate when he proposes they head into the Georgia backwoods to tackle the legend of Emily Burt, the Talbot County werewolf. “Talbot County” is a Hitchcockian tale of horror set in 1986 that delves into a hundred-year-old fable where our students are met with very real consequences that go beyond any classroom lessons.
Lycan will arrive in select theaters on August 4, 2017, followed by its release on Digital HD and VOD later this year from Parade Deck.
