Stephen And Owen King’s SLEEPING BEAUTIES Being Adapted For Television

Adaptations of Stephen King’s works are everywhere these days, including IT , The Dark Tower,, Gerald’s Game, 1922, Revival, Mr. Mercedes, The Mist, and The Stand. Deadline is now reporting that Sleeping Beauties, King’s most recent novel which is a collaboration with his son Owen, has been picked up by Anonymous Content with the intention of adapting the book for a television series. That’s not surprising, but what is surprising is the fact that Sleeping Beauty is not set to arrive in stores until September 26, 2017. In a future so real and near it might be now, something happens when women go to sleep; they become shrouded in a cocoon-like gauze. Blu-ray And DVD Release Date Announced For GET OUT

Jordan Peele made a huge splash with his genre debut Get Out, breaking box office records and bringing in over $158,331,000 domestically. You can read our spoiler free review here. The film follows Chris and his girlfriend, Rose, who have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating. Rose invites Chris for a weekend getaway upstate with her parents, Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined. Movie Review: Beacon Point Is A Sci-Fi Thriller Fueled By Paranoia, NOT Big Effects

Zoe is a young woman looking to live life on her own terms. She has quit, or at least intends to, so that she can avoid falling into the same work-a-day drone trap her father did. The first step, or rather many steps, is a ten day hiking trip along the legendary Appalachian Trail. She will be accompanied by two half brothers (Brian and Sam aka Cheese), a computer programmer (Dan), and a trail guide with a VERY sketchy past (Drake). They begin their ten day trek, but rather than continue traveling along the marked trail, they are led off trail by Drake. He justifies this by claiming that it will make for a better and more exciting hiking trip since taking the main trail really doesn’t require any skill or assistance from a guide. Alien: Covenant Star To Face THE NUN

The first casting news has arrived for The Nun, the spinoff of The Conjuring 2. The supernatural film, focusing on the demonic entity Vera Farmiga’s reality-based character, Lorraine Warren, came face to face with in the sequel to 2013’s hit The Conjuring. THR is reporting that Alien: Covenant actor Demián Bichir will star as Father Burke, the priest dispatched by Rome to investigate the mysterious death of a nun. Corin Hardy (The Hallow) is in the director’s chair for The Nun, which he co-wrote with James Wan and Gary Dauberman. Wan will also be producing alongside Peter Safran. Set to open in theaters nationwide on July 13, 2017, little else is known about The Nun at this point, except that the film has already entered production. But we will let you know when find out more.

Huge Star Returning For JURASSIC WORLD 2 (And I Do Mean Huge)

There are certain movie characters that are hard to forget, even when they are not human. Everyone who has seen 1993’s Jurassic Park remembers the film’s star, no not Sam Neill, though he was fantastic as Grant. I’m talking about a character larger than life, the Tyrannosaurus Rex aka “Rexy”. Let’s face it, she’s a huge star. And she will be returning for Jurassic World 2 to go head to head with a genetically created beast. After being asked about Rexy by a fan, producer Colin Trevorrow confirmed that she will be back. This time taking her orders from director J.A. Bayona. Trevorrow penned the script for part two with his writing partner Derek Connolly. Artsploitation Films has acquired the rights to the controversial Australian holiday film Red Christmas. The film, from veteran director-producer Craig Anderson, stars genre icon Dee Wallace who has appeared in many horror classics including The Howling, Cujo, and Halloween. Ryan Merriman and Perrey Reeves Enter THE JURASSIC GAMES

Imagine a world where video games are no longer justs games, but are a place where you can live or die in reality. Where they are a place where you compete not for entertainment, but for freedom. Walking Dead Actor Joins The Cast Of Rampage

The film adaption of the 1986 Midway video game Rampage already has an impressive cast that includes Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Naomi Harris, Malin Akerman, Joe Manganiello, Marley Shelton, Jake Lacey, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Matt Gerald, and Breanne Hill. Today, we have news (via Deadline) that the latest addition to the all-star lineup is none other than Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Morgan is set to play the role of Agent Russell, who works for the OGA, a covert government agency. The character is said to have serious swagger and an attitude to match. That sounds a lot like Negan, the sadistic character he currently plays on the mega hit series The Walking Dead. Thomas Jane And Molly Parker Starring In The Adaption Of Stephen King’s 1922

Earlier today, Stephen King tweeted that the film adaption of his short story 1922 looked great, as well the other upcoming adaptations in the works, including IT and The Mist. The tweet implies that all of the projects have wrapped filming. Punisher star Thomas Jane, who appeared in the first film adaption of The Mist, has been cast as Wilfred James, a Nebraska farmer plotting the murder of his wife Arlette, played by Deadwood actress Molly parker. Dylan Schmid (Horns), Kaitlyn Bernard (Haven), Brian D’Arcy James (Spotlight), and Arrow’s Neal McDonough co-star in this haunting film. Wilfred James, a farmer in Hemingford Home, Nebraska, owns eighty acres of farmland that have been in his family for generations. His wife Arlette owns an adjoining one-hundred acres willed to her by her father. Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Heather Langencamp

Here we are on another Woman Crush Wednesday, my Little Monsters, and today’s wonderful Woman of Horror, as you can plainly see, is Heather Langencamp. Heather is an Oklahoma native, born and raised in Tulsa. She attended Holland Hall School in Tulsa, but would move to Washington D.C. where she would attend and graduate from The National School for Girls. When Heather began acting, it took three attempts to make her debut. Her first try came in 1983 as an extra in Francis Ford Coppola’s big screen adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s novel, The Outsiders. Unfortunately her scene found its way to the cutting room floor. That same year she would be cast as an extra in yet another Coppola adaptation of an S.E. Hinton novel entitled Rumble Fish.
