There are few things I find creepier than dolls. Those dead eyes staring at you, half expecting it to move when you look away (*shivers). First there was Chucky, then came Annabelle. Now, there’s a new haunted doll on the block, Heidi. Mike Flanagan To Direct Series Adaption Of THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE For Netflix

Netflix has ordered the series adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s 1959 novel, ‘The Haunting of Hill House’, long considered one of the best modern ghost stories written. Mike Flanagan will be in the director’s chair for the 10-episode series. He will also write and executive produce it. Referred to as a “modern reimagining”, the series has yet to be given a title. The new series was the brainchild of Amblin TV’s Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey, according to Deadline. Both will also be executive producing the project. The Haunting of Hill House has been adapted twice before as films under the title The Haunting, first in 1963 and then again in 1999. In the 1999 version, Eleanor, Theo, and Luke decide to take part in a sleep study at a huge mansion they get more than they bargained for when Dr. Marrow tells them of the house’s ghostly past. More VOLUMES OF BLOOD To Come In Third Film Of PJ Starks’ Anthology Series

Quick question for all my Little Monsters out there. Who LOVES a good horror anthology? I know that I do. In fact on of my favorite recent anthologies is PJ Starks’ Volumes of Blood: Horror Stories, the second in a series of horror anthologies, made for horror fans BY horror fans. According to a post on Starks’ Facebook page, it looks like Volumes of Blood will add a third film, thus ending the series as a trilogy. Of course we all know that sometimes horror franchises don’t end when they say they will, and in this case I would NOT see it as a tragedy if they decided to move past three. Despite the fact that Volumes of Blood III is in the early development stages, I’m dying to know what Starks’ “killer” concept is. The Creators Of Unsolved Mysteries Want To Bring The Show Back To Life

A generation of kids found real scares every week when they tuned in to Unsolved Mysteries. In my head I can still hear Robert Stack saying “Perhaps you can help solve a mystery.” The segments of re-enactments of unsolved crimes, paranormal activity, and alien encounters left viewers looking over their shoulders. Unfortunately, the show has not aired a new episode since 2010, but that might be changing. During a recent Reddit Q&A, the series creators, Terry Dunn Meurer and John Cosgrove, revealed that they are in the process of setting up meetings in an attempt to revive the series, SyfyWire reports. We too would very much like to see new Unsolved Mysteries shows on the air. We are in the process of reaching out to networks to see if there is interest in ordering new shows. Let’s keep our fingers crossed! We are always trying to find a network, channel, or streaming service that would like to show new episodes.”

CULT OF CHUCKY Will Be The Goriest Film Of The Entire Franchise

Since the moment Cult of Chucky was announced back in January, we’ve been excited. I mean come on, who doesn’t love Chucky? The first image arrived later that month. And Back in February, returning actor Alex Vincent announced that filming had wrapped. Now, franchise creator, writer and director Don Mancini revealed at this weekend’s Monsterpalooza’s Cult of Chucky panel that the sequel will be the “goriest of all the movies”. That says a lot considering the level of gore in Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky. Remember when John Waters had his face melted off? The cast added even more tidbits during the panel. Actress Jennifer Tilly added during the panel that now the studio is considering a theatrical release. And Dourif revealed that the film was torture for her character. Syfy Announces Premiere Date For New Apocalyptic High-Octane Series BLOOD DRIVE

The Syfy channel has just announced the summer premiere date for their new high-octane, blood-fueled series Blood Drive. Set in a near-dystopian future, the show centers on a former cop, who is forced to take part in a death race in which cars run on human blood. The cast includes Alan Ritchson, Christina Ochoa, Thomas Dominique, Marama Corlett, Colin Cunningham, Darren Kent, Andrew Morgado, Sean Cameron Michael, Carel Nel, Brandon Auret, Aiden Whytock, and Andrew Hall. “In the tradition of classic grindhouse movies, BLOOD DRIVE is a new series soaked in high-octane chaos and just barely approved for television. Trailer Teases A New Addams Family Series Coming To Netflix, But Is It Real?

For the past few days, a video has been making its rounds leading fans to believe that there is a new Addams Family series coming to Netflix. While we wish it were true, it’s not, at least in this case. While it is possible that Netflix may someday bring the Addams family back, the video has nothing to do with one. For hardcore horror films the video, posted on alexiabertha’s YouTube channel, is clearly fake, seeing that it is made up of clips from films and series, like Crimson Peak and Penny Dreadful. If the day comes when Netflix announces an Addams Family series or film, we will let you know.

The Soska Sisters Give Insight Into Their Remake Of Rabid

Back in February of last year we reported that the Soska sisters, Jen and Sylvia, will be directing the remake of David Cronenberg’s 1977 film Rabid. There hasn’t been any news since, until now. The writing-directing sister team, also known as the “Twisted Twins”, let a lit info slip about their approach to the making the film while talking to The Horror Channel. We are very honored to have been the team chosen to take on the remake of Cronenberg’s Rabid. Normally, I’m not a huge fan of remakes but that’s if they don’t have anything new to bring to the story. TICK…the watch hand clicked each second away…TOCK…each second seemed slower than the prervious one…TICK…it had been two hours since they had left him…TOCK…it was the first time he had been alone for three months, maybe four…TICK…it was hard to remember…TOCK…the seconds were getting slower…TICK…maybe the watch needed to be wound…TOCK…where had he left it…TICK…he could never remember where he set it…TOCK…“it must be wound every day to keep working”…TICK…his father’s words echoed in his mind and he began to panic.
