Talented actor Ted Raimi will be in the director’s chair for his first feature film, the psychological thriller The Seventh Floor.
In a recent interview with Broke Horror Fan, Raimi had this to say: “I’m directing my first feature this year, as a matter of fact. It’s called The Seventh Floor. Vera Entertainment is producing it, and we’re pre-pro now. We don’t start shooting until September, at the moment. It’s a thriller. I can’t tell you what it’s about, but it’s psychological horror. I’m very excited about that. It’s not traditional horror, there’s no monsters or zombies or anything like that. It’s more in your head.”
Raimi is a veteran in the genre and has appeared in over 90 films and series including, Twin Peaks, Candyman, The Grudge, and Drag Me to Hell. He co-starred alongside Bruce Campbell in Xena: Warrior Princess, the 1981 classic Evil Dead followed by Evil Dead II, Army of Darkness, My Name Is Bruce, and Ash vs Evil Dead. Raimi will also appear in the upcoming horror film Darkness Rising.
