One of the classic horror/sci-fi films that has always had a following is Don Siegel’s 1956 Invasion of the Body Snatchers, based on the 1954 novel ‘The Body Snatchers’ by Jack Finney, and was remade in 1978 by director Philip Kaufman. With the current rash of remakes/reboots it is no surprise that Warner Bros. has a new version of the film currently in development.

The script is being penned by David Leslie Johnson who also wrote the scripts for The Conjuring 2 and the upcoming sequel, The Conjuring 3. John Davis (Predator, I, Robot) will produce.
The film is set in a small town invaded by aliens who plant pods that eventually open to release what looks like a copy of the humans in town, void of any emotion.

We will keep you posted as the story develops. In the meantime, check out the trailer for the 1978 film.
