Fans of the hardcore rap duo Twiztid hold onto your hats, the pair are getting their a brand new comic! Source Point Press will be unveiling the new one-shot comic at the New York Comic-Con this October 5th through the 8th. That’s not all, A limited edition convention exclusive variant cover will be available at the Source Point Press booth and a free autograph session will even take place there from 1-4pm Saturday Oct. 7th with writer DirkManning, artist Marianna Pescosta, colorist and letterer Alessandro De Fornasari, and even Jamie Madrox and Monoxide themselves!

From the Press Release:
Twiztid, composed of Jamie Madrox and Monoxide, is a rap group based out of
Detroit, MI, with 11 studio albums to-date, and a 12 th coming in 2018 from their label Majik Ninja Entertainment. Haunted High-Ons is a one-shot comic story featuring the duo having carved out a comfortable side-gig for themselves as fake ghost hunters… but what happens when a routine house call yields not only a ghost, but a killer demon to boot? Hijinks and horror, of course!
We’ve worked very closely with Jamie and Paul (aka Monoxide) on the release, as well as George Vlahakis, co-founder of Majik Ninja Entertainment, who has been instrumental in this process,”says Source Point Press Editor-In-Chief Travis McIntire. “Twiztid have not only carved a huge name for themselves in music, but also become a staple in the world of horror. It’s fantastic to be working with legends whose passion matches our own.”
The 12x Billboard charting group is recognized worldwide as one of the Juggalo- related groups who have successfully earned respect in mainstream rap and rock culture, breaking out of the shell and amassing an enormous international fanbase – especially since opening their own successful label empire, Majik Ninja Entertainment. In addition, Twiztid cross over heavily into horror, animation, comic, weed and gaming culture – releasing action figures, comic books, cosplay videos, sodas and even launching their own festivals and upcoming pop culture convention – Astronomicon – happening next year. Their most recent full-length album, The Continuous Evolution of Life’s ?s, debuted on the Billboard Top 200 charts at #28.
Twiztid commented, “We have talked about doing a REAL comic book for over a decade and it’s finally about to happen. If that’s not enough to put a smile on the ol’ face, then the fact our comic book will kick off at the New York Comic Con via the Source Point Press booth with us, writer Dirk Manning and the creative team, is enough to leave us all laughing like lunatics!” In addition to getting the NYCC exclusive variant cover at the convention, fans can preorder the comic with its main cover from the Source Point
Press webstore (sourcepointpress.storenvy.com) and preorder an exclusive Twiztid Shop variant cover and a sketch cover variant, along with incredible bundles including t-shirts, autographed posters and more, from the Twiztid webstore (twiztid-shop.com).
As a band, Twiztid has made a career of masterfully blending horror and comedy into their music the same way I’ve made a career of blending horror and comedy into my comic series such as Tales of Mr. Rhee, Nightmare World and Love Stories (To Die Foe),” says writer Dirk Manning, “making collaborating with them in writing this comic is a perfect match for fans of their music as well as readers looking for a new comic that’s fresh, funny, and at times, scary. Everybody wins!”
Source Point Press Founder and Art Director Joshua Werner praised the art in this publication. “It’s hard to find an incredible team as skilled and professional as Marianna Pescosta and Alessandro De Fornasari,” says Werner. “The colors are gorgeous, setting every haunting scene, and Mari’s phenomenal art captured every moment of humorperfectly through the characters’ body language and expressions. This book is a blast, we can’t wait for you to get your hands on it.”
