The Amazon series adaption of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s apocalypse-comedy ‘Good Omens’ is moving along and has now revealed that the show’s lead roles have now been cast.
Underworld/’Masters of Sex’ actor Michael Sheen is set to star as Aziraphale, and angel. Terry Pratchett, most recognized for his run as “the doctor” on ‘Doctor Who’, will play opposite Sheen as a demon named Crowley, Variety reports.

In the novel, which was Gaiman’s first, the world is on the brink of the apocalypse. Aziraphale and Crowley are attempting to stop the “End Times” from happening as they search out the son of Satan.
‘Good Omens’ is set to premiere some time in 2018 and is co-produced by BBC Studios, Narrativia, and the Blank Corporation in association with Amazon Prime Video. Gaiman, Chris Sussman, Caroline Skinner, Rob Wilkins, and Rod Brown serve as executive producers. The six episode series was adapted by Gaiman himself. He will also serve as showrunner.
Following its Amazon premiere, viewers in the UK will be able to watch on the BBC.
