The next installment of the Insidious franchise will soon be taking us into the “Further”. Ahead of the trailer release (which should happen very soon) the films official title has been revealed as Insidious: The Last Key.
The film, directed by Adam Robitel and written by Leigh Whannell who penned the scripts for the entire franchise, is set years before the events of the previous films and follows Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye) as a young woman haunted by malevolent and demonic spirits in her New Mexico home.
Leigh Whannell will be reprising his role as “Specs”. Josh Stewart, Javier Botet, Angus Sampson, Kirk Acevedo, Bruce Davison, Spencer Locke, and Caitlin Gerard co-star.
Insidious: The Last Key opens in theaters nationwide on January 5, 2018.
