If you have been suffering from ‘Supernatural’ withdrawals we have something to tide you over until October 12th when the series returns, the first trailer for this season.
The boys are back and will have their hands full. It’s been revealed that there is a “new Sheriff in town” in the trailer who wants to claim the throne in Hell. Looking suave in an all white suit, we have to wonder if the new bad guy is actually an angel.
We also see Dean praying. Maybe he’s hoping that God will lend a helping hand since Cass (Misha Collins) is gone. Don’t worry, we haven’t seen the last of our favorite angel. I mean he is on the poster.
We do get a small glimpse of the power that Jack, the Nephilim, (Alexander Calvert) wilds. He did open the portal to the alternative world as a newborn baby last season.
Of course, the world is under threat. But isn’t always on this show? You can expect a ton of action this season as Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) fight in both worlds.
As for the Winchester family, their half-brother, who is possessed by Michael, has been locked in the cage since season 8, but that it is about to change. In the alternate world, where Crowley (Mark Sheppard) sacrificed himself in an attempt to lock away Lucifer, Michael is alive and is being played by Christian Keyes. Showrunner Andrew Dabb says that this time around Michael will be a different character.
The Michael of apocalypse world is the victor. He’s a very different character than the one we met even in season 5. He’s Genghis Khan. He’s been through the wars. He’s conquered the world.”
Check out the trailer and don’t miss the season thirteen premiere on Thursday, October 12th at 8 p.m. on The CW.
