Meet characters from the mind of Stephen King in the first teaser trailer for Hulu’s upcoming series ‘Castle Rock’, from J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens).
IT actor Bill Skarsgård co-stars alongside André Holland (Moonlight), Malanie Lynskey, Jane Levy, and Carrie star Sissy Spacek in the series set in King’s multiverse. Set in the fictional Maine town of Castle Rock, the series will explore multiple themes that connect the stories created by King in the past.
Dustin Thomason and Sam Shaw developed Castle Rock based on characters created by King. They also will serve as executive producers along with Ben Stephenson, Liz Glotzer, and J. J. Abrams. The series is from Warner Bros. and Bad Robot and will air exclusively on Hulu.
The town was first featured in King’ ‘The Dead Zone’ in 1979 and went on to be mentioned in ‘Cujo’, ‘The Body’, ‘Needful Things’, ”Mrs. Todd’s Shortcut’, ‘The Dark Half’, ‘It Grows on You’, and other dark tales.
