‘Butcher Of Bosnia’ Ratko Mladic Found Guilty

NPR has reported that former Bosnian Serb General Ratko Mladic (74) was found guilty by The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and was sentenced to life for orchestrating the mass murder of Ethnic Muslims during the Bosnian Civil War, most notably the mass murder of 8000 Muslim men and boys in Srebrenica. Mladic’s reign of terror during the Bosnian War started in May of ’92 and ended in November of ’95 when the war ended. Mladic is the last of 161 individuals who were arrested and tried for atrocities committed during the conflict. Mladic was one of three big-name players to be tried. Last year Radovan Karadzic, former Bosnian Serb leader, was convicted for his role in the atrocities during the war, he was sentenced to 40 years. Former Serbian leader Slobodon Milosevic AKA the ‘Butcher of the Balkans’, died in 2006 while still on trial. Mladic’s attorneys have stated that Mladic will seek an appeal from

Movie Review: Down/The Lift Are the Best Killer Elevator Flicks You Will See (This Week)

When the elevators in the Millennium Building in ol Manhattan Towne begin to malfunction (and by malfunction, I mean go completely ape shit and murder everyone in sight), elevator repairman Mark and plucky journalist Jennifer are off and running to solve the mystery (with little help from the police assigned to the case). So what could be causing this strange “mechanical failure”? Well, let’s just say that the elevators have a life of their own thanks to some experimental technology, and before long the entire building is quarantined by the U.S. Government as the body count grows to absolutely ludicrous proportions. Much Aerosmith and bloodletting ensue. Good lord, Down is one delirious fright flick! Both documentaries will take viewers on a journey through legend to the truth. Oh the internet, you give us hours of entertainment and insight into the world around us. Sadly you’re also the home of the misinformed and the gullible. There’s been a meme circulating the web for years showing a gravesite with an iron cage covering it, quite peculiar indeed till you read the text that accompanies it. There’s a lot wrong with this meme. First off, the Victorians (1837-1901) were not as naive and terrified of the world around them as the generations before them. Many Victorians never heard of Vampires till in 1897 Irish author Bram Stoker published ‘Dracula’. After its publication, more Vampire stories showed up in works of fiction and still to this day. Zombies, the odds of a common Victorian knowing about Haitian or West African lore was slim. A Terrifying Legend Comes To Life In ‘Welcome Home Rougarou’

In the small Louisiana town of French Settlement many legends and lore swirl as part of its rich history, but there is one legend the people fear above all others, that of the Rougarou. Director Blaine Childers brings Welcome Home Rougarou, written by J.P. Willie author of “Blood In The Woods”, to life. The film that centers on Sherman (Joey Alonzo) and Kathy Thibodeaux (Lili Von Kiss), a married couple of 25 years, who haven’t slept since their youngest son, Pete (Adam Henslee) returned home. He was injured while illegally hunting small game on the outskirts of Lake Pontchartrain, and since his homecoming, something about him has changed. If the local legends are true, Pete may never be the same. Welcome Home Rougarou is set for release in February of 2018. We expect the trailer to arrive soon.
