Joe Berlinger’s Ted Bundy biopic, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, is boasting a seriously impressive cast including Jim Parsons (The Big Band Theory), actress Lily Collins (The Dig), Acadamy Award nominee John Malkovich, Kaya Scodelario (Pirates of the Caribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales), Hayle Joel Osment (Future Man), Jefferey Donovan  (Burn Notice), Angela Sarafyan (Westworld), Terry Kinney (Billions), and Dylan Baker (Trick ‘r Treat).
Today, news has come in that Metallica frontman James Hetfield has joined the cast and will star opposite of Zac Effron who is playing Ted Bundy, MetalInjection.com reports. Hetfield has signed on to play the role of Officer Bob Hayward, the Utah highway patrol officer who first arrested the serial killer back in 1975, as his first film role. Director Joe Berlinger also co-directed the Metallica documentary Some Kind of Monster.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile will center on Bundy, who confessed to killing 30 women after his arrest. Collins is set to star as Elizabeth Kloepfer, Bundy’s real-life ex-girlfriend whose perspective the film will be told from.
