J.A. Bayona’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be arriving in theaters this June. Universal is already banking on the sequel to a big success and to prove it, they’ve already set the release date for Jurassic World 3, according to Variety.
Emily Carmichael will co-write the script along with Colin Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg will be returning as executive producer. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley will return to produce. There is no word yet on the cast.
It’s important to this franchise that we welcome new creative voices to keep our storytelling fresh and alive,” Trevorrow said. “I’m thrilled with the tension and beauty J.A. has brought to ‘Fallen Kingdom,’ and I know Emily will add another layer of emotion to the concluding chapter of our trilogy.”
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opens in theaters nationwide on June 22, 2018, followed by Jurassic World 3 on June 11, 2021.
