Fans of the Metal Gear game series should be excited to hear that starting in October 2018 the official Metal Gear orchestral series that’s normally in Japan will be making its debut in the US before going to Europe. 70 musicians will be performing songs in sync with a large HD screen that will be playing scenes from the Metal Gear games themselves. Along with the background music, they’ll perform other songs like “Main Theme”, “Encounter”, and “Father and Son”.
Singer Donna Burke who’s performed many times on the Metal Gear soundtracks will also be performing memorable songs like “The Best is Yet to Come”, “Snake Eater”, and “Heavens Divide”. Should be interesting to point out that Burke has also done voice acting as well, notably playing Angela in Silent Hill 2 and Claudia in Silent Hill 3 as well as iDroid from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. She also can be heard if you ride the Tokaido bullet train from Tokyo to Osaka where she reads off station names in English.
The Metal Gear orchestra will be performing in Los Angeles on October 10th before performing in New York on the 13th where they will go to Paris and perform on the 28th. Ticket information is as follows.
