‘My Friend Dahmer’ Coming To Blu-ray And DVD This April

Serial killer thriller My Friend Dahmer arrives on Blu-ray and DVD this April. Former Disney star Ross Lynch (Austin and Ally) plays Dahmer in the film in which we will witness Dahmer’s teenage life before the killer went on to rape, murder, and dismember 17 young men. Filmed in Dahmer’s hometown of Summit County, Ohio and in his childhood home where he took his first victim’s life in 1978, the film was written and directed by Marc Meyers and co-stars Anne Heche, Vincent Kartheiser, Dallas Roberts, Alex Wolff, Miles RobbinsHarrison Holzer, and Cameron McKendry. In the film, “Jeff Dahmer (Lynch) is an awkward teenager struggling to make it through high school with a family life in ruins. James Wan And ‘Stranger Things” Shawn Levy Teaming Up For Netflix Movie

Shawn Levy, the producer of Netflix’s hit series “Strangers Things”, has just announced that he is teaming up with horror heavy-hitter James Wan (The Conjuring franchise) for the Netflix adaptation of the New York Times best-seller “There’s Someone Inside Your House” by Stephanie Perkins. Deadline reports that the project is “similar in tone to Netflix’s Stranger Things: think 1980s and ’90s slasher movie meets a John Hughes coming-of-age tale like The Breakfast Club.” In the book, “More than a year after her parents sent her away from Hawaii to live with her grandmother in landlocked Nebraska, Makani Young is still adjusting to her new life. Syfy Announces New ‘Leprechaun’ Sequel From The Director Of ‘The Void’

It’s fitting that we are sharing this news on St. Patrick’s Day. Syfy Wire has just announced that next year we will witness a new sequel to the Leprechaun franchise, Leprechaun Returns. The new installment of the original series has already found its director, Steven Kostanski (The Void). Taylor Spreitler (Kevin Can’t Wait), Pepi Sonuga (Ash vs Evil Dead), Sai Bennett (Lake Placid: Legacy), Emily Reid, Oliver Llewellyn-Jenkins, Ben McGregor will star. Mark Holton will be returning to reprise his role as Ozzie. Mike Flanagan’s Adaptation Of King’s ‘Doctor Sleep’ Enters Development

Stephen King’s adaptations have been everywhere over the past few years, not that we are complaining. That trend shows no sign of ending anytime soon. In fact, Mike Flanagan’s adaptation of King’s sequel to The Shining, Doctor Sleep has now officially entered development. Flanagan will be directing from the script he penned with Akiva Goldsman. Flanagan is responsible for last year’s fantastic Netflix movie adaptation of King’s Gerald’s Game, along with films like Oculus, Hush, Before I wake, and Ouija: Origins of Evil. First Details For ‘Beyond The Gates’ Sequel ‘The Day After Halloween’

Jackson Stewart, the writer of 2016’s Beyond the Gates is now working on the script for the sequel, titled The Day After Halloween, with co-writer Stephen Scarlata, EW reports. First revealed to Shock Waves, Stewart had this to say: “It’s basically what happens to the ‘final girl’ after the end of a slasher movie. It moves into a kind of weird metaphysical direction that I don’t think people would really expect from this type of movie, but it should be fun.” The Day After Halloween centers on “Alice Caldwell, the sole survivor of a Halloween night massacre, who soon finds herself under intense scrutiny from the local media. As she struggles with the traumatic aftermath, a mysterious presence begins brutally murdering anyone who’s wronged her.” Beyond the Gates was a surprise indie hit amongst genre fans. The Exorcist’s John Cho Boards ‘The Grudge’ Reboot

A couple of days ago we reported that Demian Bichir (Alien: Covenant) and Andrea Riseborough (Black Mirror) had joined The Grudge reboot. Now, news has come that “The Exorcist” star John Cho has also boarded the film. Cho, best known for his role as Harold in the hilarious Harold & Kumar franchise, will also star in Aneesh Chaganty’s film Searching coming out on August 3rd. We are so excited about this new adaptation,” Producer Sam Raimi stated. “We went back to the original source material to deliver a relentless supernatural thrill ride that explores the horrors of American suburbia.” Based on the script by Jeff Buhler (Midnight Meat Train) the film is a “reimagining” of 2004’s The Grudge, which was itself a remake of Japan’s Ju-on. I sat down with actress Jamie Bernadette who has a lot of films coming up, including two films out this April, 4/20 Massacre and Killing Joan. Bernadette gave us insight into the films and a look at what’s to come. Jamie also told us about what it’s like to be a woman in the film industry, harder than you thought it would ever be. Horror Fuel: “Your first two roles were in truth based serial killer films, ‘Son of Sam’ and ‘Nightstalker’, both written and directed by Ulli Lommel. Rob Zombie Announces New Cast Member For ‘3 From Hell’ And Shares New Photos

Rob Zombie fans, including us here at Horror Fuel, were thrilled to learn that filming began a few days ago for 3 From Hell, the sequel to The Devil’s Rejects. Since then Zombie has shared several images from the set and confirmed that Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Sheri Moon Zombie will all be returning for the sequel. Today the rocker/filmmaker revealed a new cast member via his Instagram account. Austin Stoker, who has appeared in films like Assault on Precinct 13, Battle for the Planet of the Apes, and Airport 75, has signed on for a role. ‘Happy Death Day’ Getting A Sequel

Last year’s Happy Death Day was hit with genre fans bringing in $100 million at box offices with a $4.8 million budget, so it’s no surprise that there’s a sequel in the works. Star Jessica Rothe has hinted that there may be a Back to the Future style feel to the sequel. ‘Walking Dead’ Finale And ‘Fear the Walking Dead’ Premiere Heading To Theaters

“The Walking Dead’s” season finale is being billed as epic. In fact, it’s going to be so big that it’s going to theaters! That’s not all, not only will ‘Walking Dead’ fans see the season 8 finale, they will also be treated to the season 4 premiere of “Fear the Walking Dead”! EW broke the news that AMC is partnering with Fathom Events to bring the zombie series together in more than 750 theaters for one night only on April 15, 2016, for the events named “Survival Sunday: The Walking Dead & Fear the Walking Dead”.
