Casting is moving along for director Andy Muschietti’s next installment of Stephen King’s It, written by Gary Dauberman.
Jessica Chastain has already come on board to play the role of Beverly. Variety is now reporting that both James McAvoy and Bill Hader have entered into negotiations to co-star as members of the Losers Club. Bill Skarsgard will be reprising his role as Pennywise.
McAvoy, who most recently starred in M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass, the sequel to Unbreakable and Split, has been chosen for the role of Bill, played by Jaeden Lieberher in part one. Hader (SNL), who has a new show called “Barry”, will play Richie, Finn Wolfhard’s character in last year’s hit film.
Chapter two of Stephen King’s It will open in theaters nationwide on September 6, 2019.
