Director Melanie Mayron’s (Jane the Virgin) award-winning film Snapshots is set to premiere in Los Angeles at the Laemmle Music Hall on July 27, 2018, following its incredible festival tour, racking up over twenty awards, ahead of its August VOD and Digital release.
Snapshots stars the iconic Piper Laurie (“Carrie,” “The Hustler”), Brooke Adams (“Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” “Days of Heaven”) Emily Baldoni (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Coherence”), Emily Goss (“Castle,” “Criminal Minds”), Shannon Collis (“Inherit Vice,” “Darcy’s Wild Life”) Max Adler (“Glee,” “Love and Honor”), Brett Dier (“Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” “Jane the Virgin”) & Cathy DeBuono (“And Then Came Lola,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”), and is the latest feature film from director (“Thirtysomething,” “Jane The Virgin”).
The female-driven film, which was directed, written, produced, cast by and starring women, centers on three Women, three Generations, fifty Years Apart. With an old Brownie camera and developed old film in hand, Patty and her daughter Allison arrive at Gran’s lake house for their annual girls’ weekend. Within that envelope lies a secret that shatters long-held images of the grandmother and mother they know and changes their lives forever.
