“Castle Rock” Renewed For Season Two

Hulu’s series “Castle Rock“, from J.J. Abrams, has just been renewed for a second season, Variety reports. And we couldn’t be happier. The show is dark, gritty, and the cast is absolutely phenomenal. It the ultimate series for fans of King’s works. The Stephen King universe-set show will “approach each season as an unwritten Stephen King novel”, according to co-creator Sam Shaw. Currently in the middle of its first season on the streaming network, “Castle Rock” stars André Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Bill Skarsgård, Jane Levy, and Scott Glenn. Sam Shaw & Dustin Thomason developed the project and serve as executive producers alongside J.J. Abrams, Ben Stephenson, and Liz Glotzer, as well as Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Critically Acclaimed Supernatural Thriller ‘Sacred Heart’ Now On Blu-ray

AFI Winner David Field (The Inbetweeners 2, The Rover, Chopper) stars in Kosta Nikas’ critically acclaimed supernatural film Scared Heart. Sacred Heart chronicles the journey of a religious man, who rejects God and his faith, after the tragic death of his pregnant wife and then challenges the Devil. He receives a visit from his priest, who pushes him to question his own beliefs. The Priest turns out to be a mirror of his own insanity, pushing the boundaries between heaven and hell. David Field, Kipan Rothbury (‘’Water Rats”), and Lizzie Schebesta (Sleeping Beauty) star in a Kosta Nikas film. Sacred Heart is now available on VOD, DVD, and BluRay from Gravitas Ventures.

First Look At Hulu’s New Anthology Series “Into The Dark”

This October the Blumhouse horror anthology series “Into the Dark” will arrive on Hulu, with a new episode premiering each month of the year. Today, we have a first look at the first two episodes to share with you. The first episode, “The Body”, premieres on October 5, 2018, and was directed by Paul Davis, the filmmaker behind Beware the Moon: Remembering ‘An American Werewolf in London’. Written by Davis and Paul Fischer, the series follows “A sophisticated hitman with a cynical view on modern society finds his work made more difficult when he has to transport a body on Halloween night, but everyone is enamored by what they think is his killer costume.” Tom Bateman, Rebecca Rittenhouse, David Hull, Aurora Perrineau and “Ash vs Evil Dead” actor Ray Santiago star. Insurance investigator John Trent (Sam Neill) has found himself locked away in an insane asylum as the world turns to shit outside it’s walls. How in the hell did he end up here? Well, for starters he never should have taken on the case of investigating the disappearance of celebrated horror novelist and H.P. Lovecraft surrogate Sutter Cane (Jurgen Prochnow); a huge cash cow for Arcane publishing. Said investigation takes our no-nonsense hero, an Arcane employee Linda Styles (Julie Carmen), to the small New England town of Hobbs End…a central location in Cane’s fiction. Once there they discover that not only are the characters in Cane’s stories real, but Cane himself holds the town in a grip of eldritch evil, as what he writes comes to demonic life! Watch The Nun Ad That Was So Scary YouTube Banned It

A new ad for The Nun was recently released and has spooked so many folks it has now been banned for YouTube. In the ad, which played randomly before other videos, a warning pops up briefly telling viewers to lower their volume and then bam, a picture of the nun pops up. The people of Twitter complained about the video along with others on social media until YouTube removed it from their advertising. Either way, it’s a damn good way to advertise. Hey, @YouTube.Do us all a favor and take down that stupid The Nun jumpscare ad video of yours! It causes your users nightmares and worst of all, KIDS WATCH THIS! How can you be okay with such content when you put down videos with swearing in it?? ‘Elea’ A Surreal Sci-Fi Game Experience Coming This September (Trailer)

Prepare to visit space in a sci-fi adventure into the surreal in the episodic game, “Elea”. Bulgarian developer Kyodai and worldwide Publisher Sodesco, are taking players to the year 2073 where Earth was struck with a terrible childhood disease that’s threatening mankind. The game follows Elea, whose husband was part of an expedition to a planet that’s believed to be habitable and will save mankind. Naturally, the mission goes awry and communication is lost after his ship and crew are not heard from again after they approached the planet. Years later a distress signal is sent from the ship and Elea joins a recovery mission where she goes on a surreal journey through time and space as she looks for her husband. The game is in first-person and heavily story driven as it’s inspired by the literary works of sci-fi pioneers Stanislaw Lem, Arthur C. Clarke, and Frank Herbert. The game will be out September 6th for the Xbox One

Rocker Glenn Danzig Writing And Directing His First Feature Film

Soon Rob Zombie won’t be the only rocker turned director. The leader of The Misfits, Glenn Danzig has just signed on with Cleopatra Entertainment to write, direct, and compose the score for his first feature film, a three-part horror anthology inspired by Verotik, his popular mature comic books. “Glenn has a fantastic track record of building brands, including Verotik,” said owner and CEO of Cleopatra Records and Cleopatra Entertainment, Brian Perera. “We’re excited to bring his vision and passion to the screen.” Principal photography is set to begin this fall.

Discover The Dawnseeker This September

This September, director Justin Price‘s The Dawnseeker will arrive. Ahead of its release, the trailer for the film, which pays homage to the Predator films, has just arrived. Starring Franziska Schissler, Alexander Kane, Jason Skeen, and Khu, the film pits mercenaries against a dangerous alien creature. Set in “2245, the Earth’s sun has dwindled and no longer provides the energy needed to sustain human life. Five hired mercenaries travel to an uncharted planet to collect a rare mineral known as stardust to replenish the dying star. After their spaceship crashes on the alien planet, they are stalked and hunted by a creature far more advanced than anything they have ever encountered before.” During our most recent interview with Price, he spoke fondly of filming in Oklahoma and stated that in Dawnseeker the character development was crucial. What we did was focus on the characters and why they were on the planet. When the creature shows up it’s an added bonus.”

New TellTale ‘The Walking Dead Final Season’ Launch Trailer Is Here!

The official launch trailer for Telltale Games “The Walking Dead Final Season” is here and it looks like it’s going to be a roller coaster for this closing chapter involving the human form of hope, Clementine. Clementine started off in the game series as a little girl forced to learn how to survive in the zombie apocalypse to now being a seasoned survivor taking on the role of caretaker of not only AJ, a little boy she took under her wing in the previous season, but a protector/leader of a community. The first episode of the new season launches today (August 14th) for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Fingers crossed that fans will have at least one happy ending to this gut-wrenching emotional punching bag of a tale.

Jeffrey Wright Is On The Hunt In New Image From ‘Hold The Dark’

Green Room director Jeremy Saulnier‘s latest film, Hold the Dark, is set to arrive on Netflix the September after making its world premiere at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival. The latest image features “Westworld” actor Jeffrey Wright, who plays Russell Core, a wolf expert who arrives at an Alaskan village, after the deaths of three children suspected to be by wolves. He is hired by the parents of a missing six-year-old boy (Beckham Crawford) to track down and locate their son in the Alaskan wilderness. True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgård also stars in Hold the Dark. Riley Keough, and James Badge Dale co-star. Hold the Dark, an adaptation of William Giraldi’s bestselling novel by the same name, arrives on Netflix on September 28, 2018.
