FannibalFest Announces Special Guest Annabel De Vetten AKA “Annabel Lecter”

Annabel de Vetten, also known as “Annabel Lecter”, is cooking something up disturbing for FannibalFest this October. The trained chef, artist, and taxidermist created a ‘Hannibal & Bedelia’ wedding cake for the official media release event of the series’ third season, has made a name for herself by baking a long list of disturbing desserts, all of which look revoltingly realistic. As a big fan of the Thomas Harris novels and cinematic adaptations of the Hannibal character, she is quite enamored of the TV show. “I love how Hannibal is even more sophisticated, intelligent, and articulate than in the films,” she enthuses. “This makes him more unsettling than ever before.” During her panel at FannibalFest she will dig into the connections between food and death. Ian Somerhalder Has Blood On His Hands In The First “V-Wars” Image

Ian Somerhalder made bad boys look good on “The Vampire Diaries“. Now, he’s sinking his fangs into a new role, as human Dr. Luther Swann on Netflix’s upcoming series “V-Wars“. The virus spreads leaving the world divided between human and vampire as Dr. Swann continues to research the virus, hoping to understand more about the disease and the new species it has created. “V-Wars” is an adaptation of the graphic novel by the same name by Jonathan Maberry. While the premiere date is still a mystery, we do know that the first season will feature 10 episodes.

A Young Girl’s Hidden Supernatural Talents Come To Light In ‘Prodigy’

After its highly-successful run on Amazon, the psychological thriller Prodigy makes its premiere on Netflix later this month as well as On Demand. New ‘Halloween’ Teaser Gives Fans A Taste Of The Soundtrack

Last week, a fake song from Halloween spread like fire online. Today, we have the first real taste of the soundtrack. Not only is John Carpenter, creator of the franchise, executive producing Blumhouse’s new Halloween, he also composed the soundtrack, along with his son Cody, and Daniel Davies (Lost Themes). Sacred Bones Records has now released a short teaser of the main theme, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. Sacred Bones Records describes the new soundtrack: “The new soundtrack pays homage to the classic Halloween score that Carpenter composed and recorded in 1978 when he forever changed the course of horror cinema and synthesizer music with his low-budget masterpiece. ‘Felix The Reaper’ A Rom-Com Musical Game About Death And Love

As the title of this article says, a new video game is coming next year with a twist; a musical romantic comedy about a grim reaper named Felix. “Felix the Reaper” is a puzzle game being independently developed by Danish game developer Kong Orange. Players will take on the role of the titled character, Felix, who works for the Ministry of Death, but alas, Felix is in love with Betty the Maiden who works for the Ministry of Life. Felix hopes to meet Betty while on the job as he works in the human world reaping souls as he groves to the tunes on his walkman. In each level, Felix works in the shadows (as he dances to music) where he can manipulate the surroundings to cause the death of a mortal. Jay Baruchel Heads Out On A Road Trip In ‘Random Acts Of Violence’ Adaptation

This is the End actor Jay Baruchel (Man Seeking Woman) is starring in, directing, and producing the horror flick Random Acts of Violence which has now begun filming, THR reports. The Cabin in the Woods actor Jesse Williams is co-starring alongside Jordana Brewster (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake), and Niamh Wilson (Maps to The Stars). “The project that follows comic book creator Todd Walkley, played by Williams, who along with his girlfriend Kathy (Brewster), assistant Aurora (Wilson), and best friend Ezra, played by Baruchel, go on a road trip from Toronto to New York City for Comic-Con, only to face adversity along the way.” The flick, a road trip movie, is based on the graphic novel of the same name by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray. Baruchel re-teams with writing partner Jesse Chabot for the film. Noah Segal and Randy Manis are producing. Williams, Chabot, Ricky Tollman and Jonathan Bronfman are serving as executive producers.

Bill Moseley Stars In Holiday Horror Film ‘American Exorcist’

Back in 2015, we reported that Bill Moseley (Devil’s Rejects) was set to star in American Exorcist. After a long wait, the film is finally getting released just in time for Halloween. In the film directed by Tony Trov and Johnny Zito, “A paranormal investigator is trapped inside a haunted skyscraper on Christmas Eve. The skeptical scientist, Georgette Dubois, is horrified once confronted with the reality of the supernatural.
