One of the most highly-anticipated horror films of the year, The Nun, opened in theaters nationwide yesterday. The film which had a budget of around $22 million, brought in over $5.4 million dollars on its opening night. To celebrate its opening, we have all of the trailers and clips for you to watch. In the film, a priest with a haunted past and woman on the threshold of taking her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania. The two are forced to face a dark entity in the form of a nun.
The Nun stars Oscar-nominated Demian Bichir (“A Better Life”) as Father Burke, Taissa Farmiga (TV’s “American Horror Story”) as Sister Irene, Charlotte Hope (TV’s “Game of Thrones”) as the abbey’s Sister Victoria and Ingrid Bisu (“Toni Erdmann”) as Sister Oana, Jonas Bloquet (Elle) as local villager Frenchie. Bonnie Aarons reprises her Conjuring 2 role as the terrifying nun.
Corin Hardy will be directing from the screenplay written by James Wan and Gary Dauberman. Wan and Peter Safran are producing with Dauberman and Todd Williams serving as executive producers.
