One Fairytale Goes Under A Frightening Transformation For ‘Mermaid’s Song’ (Trailer)

Before Disney got their hands on classic tales like The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and many others, they were dark gruesome legends handed down for generations and told in stories by brilliant writers like the Brothers Grimm. One fairytale classic is going under the frightening transformation this September for Mermaid’s Song. A dark homage to Hans Christian Anderson’s The Little Mermaid, and starring Game of Thrones’ Iwan Rheon, the film is set during the 1930s depression and tells of young Charlotte, who is struggling to keep the family business afloat. After we have the hoary ol’ chestnut of “based on a true story” flashed before our eerie eyeballs we catch up with Bill and Ashely “Ash” DiAngelo (Biden Hall and Alyx Melone respectively), a married couple livin’ high on the hog in Singapore with a baby on the way…well, until it isn’t. So after that disturbing, crimson splashed miscarriage, Ash sinks into an understandable deep depression. So what is a femme in a funk to do? Why carry out the ancient East Asian practice of raising a “ghost child” as one does, much to the eternal chagrin of Ash’s maid Siti (Cynthia Lee MacQuarrie). Long story short, Ash contacts a witch doctor whom specializes in trapping unborn dead fetuses. Two New Clips Tease The Horror Found In ‘The Basement’

Mischa Barton (“The OC”, The Sixth Sense) stars in the one of a kind horror film, The Basement, from Brian M.Conley and Nathan Ives. To celebrate its September release two new clips have been unveiled. In the film, “Craig is abducted and wakes up in a basement. His captor, Bill, is a twisted serial killer who wishes to reenact his own capture, with Craig playing the part of Bill and Bill playing everyone else. One of the most highly-anticipated horror films of the year, The Nun, opened in theaters nationwide yesterday. The film which had a budget of around $22 million, brought in over $5.4 million dollars on its opening night. To celebrate its opening, we have all of the trailers and clips for you to watch. Movie Review: Diane (2018)

Stage actress/singer Diane (Carlee Avers) is discovered in the back yard of hard luck disabled war vet Steve (Jason Alan Smith)…well, her semi-clothed body is anyway along with a bloody screwdriver. After an intense, and off-kilter, grilling by the local authorities, Steve is returned home where he becomes obsessed with Diane…so much so that he begins to hear her voice late at night and has strange fever dreams involving her (tinted a strange crimson hue, or taking place in nebulous white spaces)…while his days find him even more ostracized from his community than we was previously. Before long, Diane’s appearances become rather sinister, and find that things aren’t as they appear to be! Big Chuck (Greg Violand) has got himself a vintage RV which he hopes to utilize to patch up his relationship with his two adult children, Steve (who is gung-ho for forced family fun), and Jay who isn’t all rainbows and sunshine about the affair, via cramming them in that boxy piece of shit and haulin’ ass ‘cross country. Also along for this lil’ road trip are his eldest son’s wife Jennifer (Denise Richards) along with their daughter and dog…you know, because a fright flick needs kids and animals in peril to really get our collective pulse poundin’!
