Halloween just got groovier in this 1970s style throwback Nerdist Remix of the Halloween trailer. Ripping the pulpy style and creepy sounds of classic 70s horror films like the original “Halloween”, this trailer adds an appropriately spooky amount of nostalgia to your October– plus bone-chilling narration. This year, your worst nightmare is named Michael Myers.
Just like Michael Myers craves his next victim, the team at Nerdist Presents have been craving the newest addition to the Halloween film franchise. In anticipation of the sequel to the original 1978 slasher, check out the trailer for the new Halloween with a fun 1970’s vibe in Nerdist Remix: Retro Re-Cut Halloween. Watch as Laurie Strode and countless screaming victims fight off the masked madman in the blend of classic and new Halloween!
Directed by David Gordon Green and written by Danny McBride, the film, which will ignore every sequel, stars Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, Judy Greer as Karen Strode, Laurie’s Daughter. Andi Matichak plays the role of Laurie’s granddaughter, Allyson.
Will Patton (Armageddon), Rob Niter (The Gym), Rhian Rees (The Lears), Virginia “Ginny” Gardner (Marvel’s Runaways), Miles Robbins (My Friend Dahmer), Dylan Arnold (Mudbound), and Drew Scheid (Stranger Things) co-star.
The film was scored by John Carpenter who serves as executive producer along with Malek Akkad, and Jason Blum. Green and McBride will executive produce under their Rough House Pictures banner.
Michael comes home on October 19, 2018.
