Growing up one of the most terrifying things on TV wasn’t a horror movie, it was the true-crime series “Unsolved Mysteries” that ran from 1987 to 2010. News has now come that Netflix is bringing the series back with the original show’s creators Terry Dunn and John Cosgrove on board.
The new version will focus on a singular mystery and will ask viewers for their help to solve the case.
“Stranger Things” producer Shawn Levy will be executive producing the 12-episode first season along with his 21 Laps partner Josh Barry.
The original series starred Robert Stack for its first nine seasons on NBC before moving to CBS, then it moved to Lifetime before ending its run on Spike in 2010.
