We have good news and we have bad news, so let’s start with the bad. You will soon have to invest in another streaming service. WarnerMedia is kicking off their own streaming service with a new installment of the Gremlins franchise, an animated series.
Variety reports that the series, currently in development, is said to be “a period piece that would follow Mr. Wing as a young man as he goes on adventures with the friendly Mogwai Gizmo.”
Tze Chun (“Gotham”) is on board to pen the series, which sounds like a prequel to the 1984 original film directed by Joe Dante. Warner Bros. Television and Amblin Television will be producing.
