Psycho-thriller PIERCING on Blu-ray and DVD March 12th!

The Christopher Abbott and Mia Wasikowski starring horror-thriller Piercing is set to make it’s Blu-ray and DVD debut on March 12th. The official skinny on the fright flick goes as follows: In this twisted love story, a man seeks out an unsuspecting stranger to help him purge the dark torments of his past. His plan goes awry when he encounters a woman with plans of her own. A playful psycho-thriller game of cat-and-mouse based on Ryû Murakami’s novel. Movie Review: Abnormal Attraction (2018)

In a universe where fantasy characters and humans co-exist, people obsessed with the crazy creatures around them attend AA (Abnormal Attraction) meetings, lead by Dr. Stanley Cole (Bruce Davison) to work through their “feelings”. As the internet has demonstrated time after terrible time, people can get their horny on over the weirdest things…and the world of ol’ AA is no exception as we get tales of frisky folks enamored with a leprechaun, a zombie, the tooth fairy, bigfoot and many, many more (shudder)… Thankfully most of the jokes in Abnormal Attraction are gloriously offensive and hit their mark (and they damn well better seeing as how this is a comedy and all), but to write this off as just some dopey comedy (which it certainly is) with nothing going on between it’s ears would do this picture a disservice. 88 Films Releasing The Green Inferno And Cannibal Terror On Blu-ray

For years fans waited for the release of a sequel to Ruggero Deodato’s trendsetting Cannibal Holocaust, yet it would take almost a decade for The Green Inferno, also known as Cannibal Holocaust 2, to arrive… and it wasn’t what followers of the Italian cannibal cycle were expecting. A group of enterprising adventurers venture into the Amazon jungle in search of a missing professor but soon the youngsters encounter more than they bargained for – European colonialism is exploiting the rainforest and the natives are fighting back! Eli Roth’s New Horror Movie Begins Filming This Month

Last year Eli Roth (Cabin Fever, Hostel, Hostel 2, The Green Inferno) went outside the horror genre for his movies The House with the Clock in its Walls, a family-friendly tale, and his revenge thriller Death Wish. We all knew that it wouldn’t be long before he would be returning to his horror roots and we were right. It appears he has a new horror flick in the works. Set to kick off filming in Boston this month, the still-untitled film was co-written by Roth and Jeff Rendell, according to Production Weekly. Here’s the interesting thing, Rendell was also the co-writer of Roth’s faux movie trailer for the faux movie Thanksgiving (below) which was featured in the movie Grindhouse from Miramax, who happens to be teaming up with Roth for this feature film. Could this be a feature film version of Thanksgiving? Maybe. We’ll have to wait to find out.

Will Ferrell and Adam McKay Producing Alexander Payne’s Horror Comedy ‘The Menu’

Oscar winner Alexander Payne, the man behind About Schmidt, Sideways, The Descendants, and Nebraska, is getting his hands bloody, he is finally making his genre directorial debut with the horror-comedy The Menu. Empire is reporting that Payne will be directing from the script penned by Will Tracy and Seth Reiss that “ focuses on a young couple who visits an exclusive destination restaurant on a remote island where the acclaimed chef has prepared a lavish tasting menu, along with some shocking surprise.” As for who will be producing, get this, it’s Will Ferrell and Adam McKay who worked together on Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, The Other Guys, and Step Brothers. Betsy Koch will also be producing.

Blu-ray Review: Horror Express (1972)

China, 1906; Prof. Sir Alexander Saxton LLC Inc. (Christopher Lee) finds a fucked up frozen freak in the middle of a snow covered wasteland. Believing the thing to be some form of missing link, Saxton gets the bright idea to bring it back to Europe via a trans-Siberian express. Before you can say; “Hey man, shouldn’t that monster be stored in a deep freeze or something?” our arcane antagonist thaws out and begins going kill-krazy among the passengers…a feat made easier by it’s ability to blend in among them! The first thing you may notice about Horror Express is that it was one hell of a lavish production. ‘A Plague Tale: Innocence’ Rats Versus The Real Plague Rats

Focus Home Interactive has released their third and final episode of their web series showing behind the scenes of the making of their upcoming game, A Plague Tale: Innocence. The final episode titled “Children of the Plague” focuses more on the game’s main antagonists, the hoard of plague-infested rats. The developers at Asobo Studio used their own software to create the hoard of vermin where at times there will be about 5000 rats on the screen, along with being programmed with a “hive mind”, each virtual rat will have its own artificial intelligence and behavior. Spectacularly creepy! Rats for generations have been blamed for the Second Pandemic (Black Death) and have been depicted for a long time as being ravenous hoards attacking at will. “Silicon Valley” Actor Joins The Cast Of ‘Zombieland 2’

Variety reports that “Silicon Valley” actor Thomas Middleditch is the latest actor to join the cast of the long-awaited Zombieland sequel and will star alongside returning actors Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin. Zoey Deutch and Rosario Dawson have also joined the cast. In Zombieland 2, the zombie slayers must face off against new types of zombies that have evolved since the first movie. They will also have to deal with new survivors along the way. Zombieland director Ruben Fleisher returns to the director’s chair for the sequel. Writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are also back for the horror-comedy that has already begun filming in Georgia. Zombieland 2 is set to be released this October on the 10th anniversary of the first film.
