The cast for Sony’s vampire Spider-Man spinoff Morbius continues to grow. Deadline is reporting that “The Terror” star Jared Harris has signed on along with previously announced stars Matt Smith and Adria Arjona.
Jared Leto stars as Michael Morbius, a scientist who, while trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transforms himself into a living vampire. Though disgusted by his own bloodlust, he chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.
Daniel Espinosa (Life) directs from the script penned by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless based on the character created by writer Roy Thomas. Morbius made his debut in Amazing Spider-Man #101.
Morbius opens in theaters on July 31, 2020.
