Last year, David Gordon Green’s sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween was a box office hit. It’s no surprise that there were instant rumors that the movie would be getting a sequel. Today, we can tell you that Halloween II is indeed on its way.
Filming is set to begin after Labor Day with Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as badass Laurie Strode! Both Judy Greer and Andi Matichak are expected to return.
Be careful not to get confused, this will be the third Halloween II. There’s the 1981 original Halloween II and Rob Zombie’s Halloween II.
Halloween (2018) picked up forty years after Strode was viciously attacked by Michael Myers. When Myers escapes a bus transfer he kicks off on a killing spree with his sights on Strode, but she’s been waiting for him.
The film was directed by Green who co-wrote the screenplay with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley.
