Halloween II Set To Begin Filming

Last year, David Gordon Green’s sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween was a box office hit. It’s no surprise that there were instant rumors that the movie would be getting a sequel. Today, we can tell you that Halloween II is indeed on its way. Filming is set to begin after Labor Day with Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as badass Laurie Strode! Both Judy Greer and Andi Matichak are expected to return. Be careful not to get confused, this will be the third Halloween II. There’s the 1981 original Halloween II and Rob Zombie’s Halloween II. Halloween (2018) picked up forty years after Strode was viciously attacked by Michael Myers. When Myers escapes a bus transfer he kicks off on a killing spree with his sights on Strode, but she’s been waiting for him. The film was directed by Green who co-wrote the screenplay with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley.

Actor-Director Cuyle Carvin Talks The Walking Dead, Swamp Thing And His Film Dolls

Actor turned director Cuyle Carvin has been a busy man lately between his roles on DC Universe’s “Swamp Thing”, “The Walking Dead”, and directing his haunted doll film, simply titled Dolls, which Cuyle sat down with me to discuss. In Dolls, a struggling children’s book author and his rebellious teenage daughter move into a house they’ve inherited and find mysterious dolls in the attic. They soon learn that the dolls have a sinister — and deadly — past. From The Creator Of Final Destination Comes The Night Sitter (Trailer)

Writer-directors John Rocco and Abiel Bruhn’s highly-anticipated horror feature The Night Sitter is set to awake at night this summer. Starring “The Walking Dead’s” Elyse DuFour, The Night Sitter centers on a scheming con artist that poses as an innocent babysitter to steal from a wealthy occult enthusiast. Just as the thief arrives to clean out the house, the home owner’s reclusive son stumbles upon one of his father’s artifacts and unwittingly summons a trio of witches known as The Three Mothers. As the playful, sadistic witches start picking people off, the humans form an unlikely bond and try to survive the night together. Aldis Hodge Joins Universal And Blumhouse’s ‘The Invisible Man’

“Black Mirror” and “Leverage” actor Aldis Hodge has been cast in a lead role in Universal and Blumhouse’s The Invisible Man, however, he will not be playing the invisible man. Hodge joins previously announced cast members Elizabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), and Storm Reid. Inspired by Universal’s classic monster who made its first appearance in 1933, the film is from writer-director Leigh Whannell, who is behind the Insidious Franchise, Saw, and Upgrade. Reportedly, the film centers on Cecilia (Moss), who receives the news of her abusive ex-boyfriend’s suicide. She begins to rebuild her life for the better. However, her sense of reality is put into question when she begins to suspect her deceased lover is not actually dead. Production begins next month in Sydney, Australia. The Invisible Man will arrive in theaters on March 13, 2020.

New Small Town Monsters Documentary Explores The Legend Of ‘Momo: The Missouri Monster’

A new “docu-drama” from indie film production company, Small Town Monsters, seeks to tell the true and truly strange story of the Missouri Monster. The hair-covered, three-toed monstrosity was said to have prowled the forests of “Star Hill” near Louisiana, Missouri during the summer of 1972 where it was seen by terrified citizens for weeks. The case gained national media attention during the ’70s and remains one of the largest tourist draws for the tiny town, which sits on the banks of the Mississippi River. The first trailer for the film debuts today and hints at the storytelling devices employed, as well as some of the fascinating interviews and locations. Movie Review: Jordan Peele’s US

I unboxed a swag pack from Jordan Peele’s most recent film, US. Included in the box was the Blu-ray, which I’ve been eagerly awaiting to see for months. I popped the movie in and sat back with my fingers crossed that the movie would live up to the hype. Let’s face it, Peele sat the bar high right from the get-go with Get Out. In the first seconds of the film a black screen appears with a spiel about tunnels running under the entire U.S. this is important. You might not think so at first, seeing that the synopsis only talks about a mother returning to her childhood home with her family for a holiday, but it is, so is the bible verse (Jeremiah 11:11) which we see repeatedly throughout the movie. Paramount And Blumhouse Team Up For New Paranormal Activity Movie

Paramount and Blumhouse are teaming up for another installment of the Paranormal Activity franchise. Paramount’s Studio Chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos confirmed the announcement at a CineEurope event saying “We are partnering with uber horror producer Jason Blum to bring a new installment of Paranormal Activity.” At the moment that’s all we know about what will be the seventh film of the found footage franchise which also includes Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones and 2015’s Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. But don’t worry, will update you when we know more. The franchise kicked-off with Paranormal Activity in 2007. Written and directed by Oren Peli, the film was made for a meager $15,000 but brought in a massive $193,311,485. Every sequel has followed that trend by bringing in much more at box offices than the film’s cost to produce. Remember The Banana Splits? They are no longer “family friendly”, in fact, they look downright demented in the first trailer for a new horror movie simply titled as The Banana Splits Movie.
