Stake Land director is Jim Mickle‘s new psychological thriller In the Shadow of the Moon lands exclusively on Netflix later this month.

 

Described as “genre-bending, ” the film set in 1988 centers on Philadephia police officer Thomas Lockhart (Boyd Holbrook), hungry to become a detective, begins tracking a serial killer who resurfaces every nine years. When the killer’s murders begin to defy all scientific explanation, Locke’s obsession with hunting down the killer puts his family, career, and his sanity at risk.

 

Michael C. Hall, Bokeem Woodbine, Rachel Keller, Rudi Dharmalingam, and Cleopatra Coleman also star in the film written by Gregory Weidman and Geoff Tock.

 

In the Shadows of the Moon debuts on Netflix on September 27, 2019.
