PC gamers will be given the opportunity to challenge the gods in order to save their friends in their own Greek Epic Argonus and the Gods of Stone by indie game developer Zojoi, the makers of Shadowgate.

Players take on the role of Argonus, who washed ashore after his ship Argo crashed against the strange land that he must now explore in order to find his compatriots, the Argonauts. Argonus will face many perils in the form of creatures from Greek Mythology, puzzles, and the Greek Gods themselves. Argonus’s journey is not entirely dire as he is aided by the goddess Athena.

The game was inspired by the works of stop-motion legend Ray Harryhausen (Jason and the Argonauts, Clash of the Titans) whose famed sword-wielding skeletons are one of the many foes you must encounter in this first-person experience.

Argonus and the Gods of Stone is available now on Steam and Humble stores, along with the main game, the DLC “Argonautica” is available separately. If you wish to get both the main game and the DLC together, there’s Argonus and the Gods of Stone: Olympus Edition that will include both. The Argonautica DLC includes a walkthrough audiobook narrated by Betsy Brantley, best known for her role as the mother from The Princess Bride, a digital book of the game’s concept art by Nabetse Zitro, and the game’s soundtrack by Rich Douglas (Shadowgate, Stranger Things: The Game).
