Richard Stanley’s (Hardware, Dust Devil) is returning to the genre next year with SpectreVision’s Color Out of Space, starring Nicolas Cage. The adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft‘s short story has just released its first trailer featuring a terrified family’s technicolor-tinted nightmare.
“After a meteorite lands in the front yard of their farm, Nathan Gardner (Cage) and his family find themselves battling a mutant extraterrestrial organism as it infects their minds and bodies, transforming their quiet rural life into a nightmare.”
Cage stars alongside Joely Richardson, Brendan Meyer, Madeleine Arthur, Julian Hilliard, Elliot Knight with Q’Orianka Kilcher and Tommy Chong (yes “The” Tommy Chong).
Color Out of Space is set to be released on January 24, 2020.
