Universal Pictures has now unveiled the new trailer for their remake of the genre classic The Invisible Man, from writer-director Leigh Whannell and Blumhouse.
Starring two-time Emmy Award winner Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House), the remake centers on Cecilia Kass (Moss), a woman trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist. She escapes in the dead of night, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer), their childhood (Aldis Hodge) and his teenaged daughter (Storm Reid). When Cecilia ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) commits suicide he leaves her a portion of his fortune. Cecilia suspects the death is a hoax, soon experiences a series of coincidences that turn lethal, threating the lives of those she loves. Her sanity begins to unravel as she tries to prove that she is stalked by an invisible threat.
The Invisible Man is produced by Jason Blum of Blumhouse, Kylie du Fresne for Goalpost Pictures. The film is executive produced by Whannell, Beatriz Sequeira, Charles Layton, Rosemary Blight, Ben Grant, Couper Samuelson, and Jeanette Volturno.
The Invisible Man arrives in theaters on February 28, 2020.
