Back in 2007, the Paranormal Activity franchise began with a bang, heavily influencing the found footage genre. Now, Paramount and Blumhouse have announced the 2021 release date for the seventh installment.
It’s been 4 years since the last installment, Gregory Plotkin’s 2015 Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension starring Chris J. Murray, Brit Shaw, and Ivy George.
The film followed a couple and their 7-year-old daughter as they get ready for Christmas in their new home. After finding an old camcorder, the father quickly learns that it can record strange apparitions that are invisible to the naked eye. When the daughter starts talking to an imaginary friend and displaying strange behavior, the couple finds themselves in a terrifying battle with a supernatural entity.
The new Paranormal Activity film will be unleashed on March 19, 2021.
