The future of the Wolf Creek franchise has been in question for a while now. But that has just changed. Star John Jarratt took to social media this week teasing that Wolf Creek has two new projects in the works, but like many others is stuck in Covid limbo.
To my delight – I have received an overwhelming amount of messages about Wolf Creek 3 – the season and the movie. [Franchise creator/director] Greg McLean and I have both projects in the works but unfortunately Covid-19 has the world at a standstill. I promise to keep you updated as we all try our best to get through these tough times.” Jarratt wrote.
Jarratt stars as stone-cold serial killer Mick Taylor who roams the Aussie Outback, first conning victims with his rugged charms to bring them in before brutally murdering them.
The original film, written and directed by Greg McLean, was released back in 2005 with the sequel following in 2013. The series premiered in 2016.
