John Jarratt Confirms New ‘Wolf Creek’ Season And Movie

The future of the Wolf Creek franchise has been in question for a while now. But that has just changed. Star John Jarratt took to social media this week teasing that Wolf Creek has two new projects in the works, but like many others is stuck in Covid limbo. To my delight – I have received an overwhelming amount of messages about Wolf Creek 3 – the season and the movie. [Franchise creator/director] Greg McLean and I have both projects in the works but unfortunately Covid-19 has the world at a standstill. I promise to keep you updated as we all try our best to get through these tough times.” Jarratt wrote. Jarratt stars as stone-cold serial killer Mick Taylor who roams the Aussie Outback, first conning victims with his rugged charms to bring them in before brutally murdering them. The original film, written and directed by Greg McLean, was released back in 2005 with the sequel following in 2013.

Blu-ray Review: Next of Kin (1982)

Linda (Jacki Kerin) inherits a retirement home called Montclare from her mother…now that is one hell of a thing to inherit…I mean what young woman wouldn’t want to own a mega-creepy house jam-packed with weird ass old people, and dreadful secrets (more on that in a tick)? I know for a fact that is exactly the number one wish of women ages 18 to 24…that and like Pogs or some shit… Anyway, Linda reads her mother’s diaries which detail some off-the-wall shit, like the fact someone was watching her and her tenants were dying under some fishy circumstances. Guess what? Like mother like daughter because L-dawg starts to see someone on her ass, and those geriatric jokers in her care begin dropping off…and before long, she is in a fight to keep both her sanity and well-being intact! Filled with breathtaking shot composition, a janky, off-kilter aesthetic, pitch perfect slow-burn pace, stunning location, and genuinely creepy moments, Next of Kin

Wolf Creek Star Facing Sexual Assault Charges

One of the biggest franchises to come out of the outback is Greg McLean’s Wolf Creek which spawned both a sequel and a TV series. Depicted in each are people who find themselves in trouble when hunted by serial killer Mick Taylor, played by John Jarratt. Now, Jarrett finds himself in big trouble. The 66-year-old man has been charged by New South Wales police with sexual assault charges. THR is reporting that Jarratt has been accused of a rape that allegedly took place in 1976. He was served with court papers this past Friday. According to the report, he allegedly raped an 18-year-old woman in September of ’76 at a residence in Eastern Sydney. He was 23 at the time. The accusor spoke with Australian reporter Tracy Spicer in 2017. Spicer had become the face of the Australian #MeToo movement and the woman reached out to her after Spicer requested on Twitter that women send her their #MeToo stories. Spicer

‘Boar’ Trailer Finally Released…And It Is Gory

The movie poster from the sure-to-be-gory film ‘Boar’ was just release, but now we have a trailer to go with it! The film will debut at the Brussels International Film Festival on April 13. One think I am most excited for (and it is very wonderfully obvious in the trailer) is the use of actual effects instead of CGI. That fact alone is enough for me to check out the film! In the harsh, yet beautiful Australian Outback lives a beast, an animal of staggering size, with a ruthless, driving need for blood and destruction. It cares for none, defends its territory with brutal force, and kills with a raw, animalistic savagery unlike any have seen before. Believed nothing more than a myth, a legend brought to life by a drunken local, the beast ventures closer to civilization, closer to life, and ultimately, closer to death. It’s brutal, it’s bloodthirsty… it’s Boar. ‘Boar’ stars Wolf Creek’s John Jarratt alongside Otis
