Daniel XIII; the result of an arcane ritual involving a King Diamond album, a box of Count Chocula, and a copy of Swank magazine, is a screenwriter, director, producer, actor, artist, and reviewer of fright flicks…Who hates ya baby?

Chelsea (Amanda Arcuri) is your normal teen pain in the ass; giving her mom (Savannah Kennick) static on the regular while her pappy is in parts unknown doing duty for the military brass. Thankfully she has her online chat sesh with “VRCowboy” to keep her grounded.

Turns out that cow poke is in fact a dude named Brad (Jackson Rathbone), and he and Chel-Chel are planning to meet in the flesh at ye olde out of towne Samhain shindig. Well, that goes tits up, and our heroine finds herself chained up in a basement, and Brad sure as fuck isn’t what he seems!

Adding to the fun, Chelsea must convince her fellow captives; a cadre of blonde A.F. cheerleaders, Meagan (Kerri Medders), Heather (Elise Luthman), and Victoria (Kaitlyn Black) by name, that they are indeed not in love with Brad (even though he has brainwashed them into believing otherwise), but that they need to get the hell out of there with the quickness before they become victims in his online snuff flicks!

Written and directed by father/son duo Daniel Woltosz and Walter Woltosz, Do Not Reply is a fantastic bit of urban legend cum cautionary tail, as this online tryst turns into an encounter most deadly… a real danger in our world of online relationships with those we barely know.

Speaking to that, frickin’ Rathbone turns in a fuckin’ solid as hell performance as Brad; a charming dude that can turn blood fuckin’ simple at the drop of a hat! It’s a study in dichotomy, the allure and revulsion… both played to perfection by our leading man!

That being said, Arcuri must also be praised as she makes the arc from victim to plucky heroine with ease… plus we actually give a shit about her; a real boon in a stalk n’ slay affair such as this.

On the negative side of the coin, this flick contains heaps of implied sexual abuse, so if that shit gets you hot n’ bothered, steer clear of this one cats n’ creeps!

Bottom line; Do Not Reply is a creepy lil’ slice of horror biz nastiness that manages to bring the scares with it’s plausible storyline and strong mean streak; a truly off-putting tale that will have you second guessing your online footprint like a mother fucker!
