HBO is rebooting the hit vampire series “True Blood.” According to THR, the network is currently in the early stages of developing a “new version” of the series with “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” creator Robert Aquirre-Sacasa at the help.
“True Blood” is based on the novel series of the same name from author Charlaine Harris. The series debuted in 2008 and had seven seasons. There is no word yet if any of the original cast will return.
Alan Ball who created the original series is on board to executive produce.
