This pandemic won’t last forever, and when it’s over you’ll be sure as pumpkin spice and candy corn that there will be awesome Halloween parties again! So how can you stand out at these parties? Well maybe add some “WOW” to your costume with a mask from Mask Frenzy!
I have to give a big shout-out to the cool folks at Mask Frenzy for making this review possible! What makes their masks unique if you have not already guessed is the use of El Cold Light technology (an LED light that looks like neon light strips), which highlights features of the mask and makes them pop!
The masks I got are the Jason Voorhees and the Purge (in red). I’m sure the origins of the masks need no introduction but for the sake of decency here’s a quick refresher. The famed hockey mask belongs to the behemoth machete-wielding killer Jason from the “Friday the 13th” films after he ditched the cloth sack from the second film, and the purge mask is inspired by the glowing lady liberty face mask from The Purge: Election Year (The Purge 3).
The lights are battery operated (2 AA batteries) and are connected to a small controller that allows you to turn on the lights as well as activating a blinking and strobing function on the lights, so I would advise caution if your someone with sensitivity towards flashing lights as while wearing the purge mask, the X’s are over your eyes, though they don’t obstruct vision, if you use the strobe setting, you could possibly trigger a seizer.
The masks come with adjustable nylon straps so the masks can be fitted to both adults and children, which these masks would be great for kids to wear and to be seen while trick or treating! There are sponges on the inside of the mask the help cushion it and help keep it off your face slightly.
When the mask is adjusted to your face properly, you don’t feel uncomfortable while wearing it meaning that you can breathe comfortably and without any real obstruction to your vision (at least with these masks I have I found no real vision issue).
Delivery was super fast! I got the notification that the masks were being shipped and would take 8 or more days to get to me but to my shock, they came the following day. I’m not the only one who has had this experience as I’ve seen on the reviews on the site that people were pleased with the fast shipping.
Another use of the mask (which I’ll most likely do) is not wearing it at all but mounting it on your wall as accent lighting! I can also see that these makes would make awesome window decorations around Halloween or even a mask for your Jack-o-lanterns! Why stop at Halloween, you can probably (if you have enough of them) decorate your horror-themed Christmas tree with them!
Mask Frenzy’s masks are pretty awesome, comfortable, affordable, and really make a statement when you wear them or put them on display, either way, it will give you the desired effect you wanted from them, you’ll literally light up the room at your next Halloween party!
