The Real Life ‘Purge’ And Christmas

Over the years you at one point must have heard people say, or post on social media, that they either wonder if or wish that the Purge was or could be real. The 2013 film The Purge gave audiences uncomfortable feelings, or awkward excitement… and spawned four sequels and a television series. The story takes place in a dystopian/utopia society where once a year all crimes are legal (but people seem to REALLY be into the murdering kind), and the films focus on either an individual or groups of individuals trying to survive the night of lawlessness. In the films the idea behind having a Purge was to give the masses a release resulting in lower crime rates during the rest of the year and the economy thrived from it, spoiler alert, in real life just one purge night would completely destroy a country financially since all emergency services (like fire fighting) would not be in service, a lot of

Franchise Creator James DeMonaco Talks About ‘The Forever Purge’ & More In Our Interview

In 2013, we were introduced to The Purge. Since then, we’ve got four sequels, with the newest installment being The Forever Purge, which has just been released. I sat down with James DeMacaco, the creator, writer, and frequent director of the franchise to discuss The Forever Purge and more. In The Forever Purge, “Adela (Ana de la Reguera, Cowboys & Aliens) and her husband Juan (Tenoch Huerta, Days of Grace) live in Texas, where Juan is working as a ranch hand for the wealthy Tucker family. Juan impresses the Tucker patriarch, Caleb (Will Patton, Halloween), which fuels the jealous anger of Caleb’s son, Dylan (Josh Lucas, Ford v Ferrari). On the morning after The Purge, a masked gang of killers attacks the Tucker family—including Dylan’s wife (Cassidy Freeman, HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones”), and his sister (Leven Rambin, The Hunger Games), forcing both families to band together and fight back as the country spirals into chaos and the United States begins

‘The Forever Purge’ Begins In The Brutal AF New Trailer

This summer, all the rules are broken as a sect of lawless marauders decides that the annual Purge does not stop at daybreak and instead should never end in The Forever Purge. The first trailer is here teasing an intense, action-packed thrill ride, the very thing that made us all fall in love with the franchise, to begin with, only this time it’s bigger and more brutal. We’ve also got the new poster that gives off a serious “four horseman/riders of the apocalypse” vibe. 2018’s The First Purge shattered records, now Blumhouse’s infamous terror franchise hurtles into innovative new territory as members of an underground movement, no longer satisfied with one annual night of anarchy and murder, decide to overtake America through an unending campaign of mayhem and massacre. And no one is safe. In the film, “Adela (Ana de la Reguera, Cowboys & Aliens) and her husband Juan (Tenoch Huerta, Days of Grace) live in Texas, where Juan is

Light Up Your Costumes With Masks From Mask Frenzy

This pandemic won’t last forever, and when it’s over you’ll be sure as pumpkin spice and candy corn that there will be awesome Halloween parties again! So how can you stand out at these parties? Well maybe add some “WOW” to your costume with a mask from Mask Frenzy! I have to give a big shout-out to the cool folks at Mask Frenzy for making this review possible! What makes their masks unique if you have not already guessed is the use of El Cold Light technology (an LED light that looks like neon light strips), which highlights features of the mask and makes them pop! The masks I got are the Jason Voorhees and the Purge (in red). I’m sure the origins of the masks need no introduction but for the sake of decency here’s a quick refresher. The famed hockey mask belongs to the behemoth machete-wielding killer Jason from the “Friday the 13th” films after he ditched the

Episode Review: The Purge Season 2 Premiere

USA is gearing up to unleash the second season of “The Purge”. This time around we will see how the annual night of lawlessness affects people the other 364 days of the year, which is a first. I had the opportunity to see the premiere episode, titled “This is Not a Test,” ahead of its release that sets the stage for the rest of the season. We meet Derek Luke’s Marcus who is attacked in his home by a mysterious man, Max Martini and his crew who are spending their Purge night robbing a bank, a woman working for the city who witnesses the death of a friend, and a college student who is trapped by a killer. The episode hops between the three stories but does so in a seamless manner. There’s much more about the characters and their traumatic night that I could tell you, but I don’t want to spoil it for you. I will say this,
