Cassie Scerbo And Tony Todd Star In The Horror Thriller ‘Agoraphobia’

Following a lengthy legal battle, the long-awaited indie horror film Agoraphobia has finally been released. From writer-director Lou Simón (interview) and starring Cassie Scerbo from Sharknado and horror legend Tony Todd (Candyman), Agoraphobia tells the story of an agoraphobic who inherits her father’s house in a remote part of the Florida Keys. Afraid to go outside, she discovers that there’s something far more terrifying trapped inside the house with her. Cassandra Scerbo plays the role of the agoraphobic, Faye, and Tony Todd plays her psychiatrist, Doctor Murphy. The cast also includes Adam Brudnicki (Tom), Maria Olsen (Aunt Margie), Aniela McGuinness (Stephanie), Roberto Escobar (Detective Martinez), Gema Calero (Nina), and Julie Kendall (Elizabeth). Tara Cardinal produces the film with cinematography by Stephen Brevig. Season Finale Of “Two Sentence Horror Stories” Airing Just Ahead Of Netflix Debut

All good things must come to an end. That includes The CW’s hit horror series “Two Sentence Horror Story” whose season finale is upon us. Airing on Tuesday, February 16th at 8 pm ET/ 7 C, ahead of the season’s arrival on Netflix on the 24th, the finale will feature the episodes “IBEJI” and “Manifest Destiny.” In “IBEJI“, when her twin sister is paralyzed suddenly from a stroke, a Nigerian American nurse must find a way to protect her from a broken medical system’s neglect. Movie Review: Willy’s Wonderland Is A Fun Filled Bad@ss Flick

I’ve been eagerly waiting to get my hands on a copy of the animatronic horror Willy’s Wonderland from writer G.O. Parsons (interview) and director Kevin Lewis. Tonight, I finally did, and let me say, I was not disappointed. In the movie, Nicolas Cage stars as a quiet drifter tricked into a janitorial job at the now condemned Willy’s Wonderland, a twisted version of Chucky Cheese. The mundane tasks suddenly become an all-out fight for survival against wave after wave of demonic animatronics. Right off to bat, we meet Cage’s character after he flattens the tires of his badass car on a spike strip. Wild-eyed, pissed of, and silent, Cage makes an agreement to clean Willy’s Wonderland in exchange for getting his car fixed. Taika Waititi Executive Producing New Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Film ‘Night Raiders’

Brilliant filmmaker and actor Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Thor: Ragnarok) is executive producing the new apocalyptic sci-fi film Night Raiders which is heading to EFM in Berlin. “Set in the year 2043 when a military occupation controls disenfranchised cities in North America and children are property of the state, the female-driven dystopian story follows a woman who joins an underground band of vigilantes to infiltrate a ‘children’s academy’ and get her daughter back.” The film, a Canada-New Zealand co-production, is from writer-director Danis Goulet and stars Elle-Maija Tailfeathers (Blood Quantum,) along with Amanda Plummer (Pulp Fiction, “Ratched”), Brooklyn Letexier-Hart, Violet Nelson, Alex Tarrant, and Gail Maurice. ‘Midsommar’ Actress Florence Pugh Starring In New Killer Doll Movie ‘Dolly’

Florence Pugh, who gave a brilliant performance in Midsommar, is set to star in the Apple TV+ movie Dolly, whose plot is absolutely wild. The film is part sci-fi, part horror, and part drama, and features a robotic “companion doll” that kills its owner and then shocks the world by claiming that she is not guilty and asks for a lawyer. The movie, which sounds very interesting, is written by Vanessa Taylor and Drew Pearce. Apple TV+ is still on the hunt for a director. Deadline states that the movie is inspired by a short story of the same name by Elizabeth Bear and that the film features “elements of classic courtroom drama and sci-fi.”

Lovecraft Country’s Jamie Chung Joins The Cast Of “Dexter”

Hot off the heels of her role as Ji-ah on HBO’s “Lovecraft Country,” Jamie Chung has joined the cast of the upcoming revival of Showtime’s hit serial killer series “Dexter,” and is set to play the role of Molly, a true-crime podcaster from L.A. Chung joins Michael C. Hall who returns as the title character, Clancy Brown (The Mortuary Collection) starring the main villain, Oscar Wahlberg who will play Zach, a member of the local wrestling team, Julia Jones, Alano Miller, Johnny Sequoyah, and Jack Alcott. Set ten years after Dexter Morgan went missing during Hurricane Laura, the 10 episode revival finds the killer of killers now living under an assumed name in a world away from Miami. The original series’ showrunner Clyde Phillips is also returning along with Marcos Siega, the director of nine episodes of the original series, who will direct six of the new episodes as well as executive produce.
