French filmmaker, Alexandre Aja already has one hell of a record in the genre, bringing us movies such as High Tension, The Hills Have Eyes, Piranha 3D, and 2019’s Crawl. He’s back with the survival thriller Oxygen. And the first teaser trailer is here and it may leave you feeling claustrophobic!
Mélanie Laurent (Inglorious Bastards), Mathieu Amalric (Quantum of Solace), and Malik Zidi (Lines of Wellington) star in the film that centers on “a young woman (Laurent), who wakes up in a cryogenic pod. She doesn’t remember who she is or how she ended up there. As she’s running out of oxygen, she must rebuild her memory to find a way out of her nightmare.”
Christie LeBlanc penned the script for Oxygen, produced by Vincent Maraval, Brahim Chioua, Noëmie Devide, Alexandre Aja, and Gregory Levasseur.
Oxygen premieres on Netflix on May 12, 2021.
