This Afternoon CAPCOM held the Resident Evil Showcase that includes new information about their second upcoming first-person entry to the game’s main storyline, Resident Evil Village (RE8). Along with the new trailer comes exciting news!

There will be a limited-time Demo available on April 17th for PlayStation players with the demo becoming available for other platforms on May 1st.
 
 

 
 
The popular game mode, The Mercenaries will be making its return! Just like in previous installments of the Mercenaries mode, players play a character and fight through enemies and to survive before time runs out! Players earn money to buy items from the Duke to enhance their Mercenary.

Also released today is the trailer for the Netflix anime original Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.
Resident Evil Village is available for pre-order right now, one of the pre-orders, the digital Deluxe Edition will include the base game and a digital add-on “Trauma Pack,” which consists of additional in-game content including a Samurai Edge weapon, Resident Evil 7 biohazard-inspired found footage screen filter, tape recorder save point option, immediate access to an especially challenging difficulty setting, and more.
 
 

 
 
Resident Evil Village will be coming out on May 7th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam, and Stadia. Resident Evil Village will be eligible to upgrade for free from PlayStation 4 to the digital PlayStation 5 version and will support Smart Delivery for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. Those who purchase Resident Evil Village will also get access to the free multiplayer experience Resident Evil Re:Verse.
