This Halloween the Sanderson sisters are back in Hocus Pocus 2! A new teaser for what’s coming to Disney+ in 2022 reveals the first footage of the sisters having a blast at a carnival, no doubt ready to cast a spell or two on the residents of Salem. While the clip only lasts a second, it’s enough to whet your appetite.
Anne Fletcher (Dumplin’, The Proposal) will be directing the sequel to the 1993 classic directed by Kenny Ortega. Jen D’Angelo penned the script for Hocus Pocus 2.
“In Hocus Pocus 2, three young women accidentally bring the Sanderson Sisters back to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on the world.”
The original Sanderson sisters, Bette Midler (Winifred), Sarah Jessica Parker (Sarah), and Kathy Njimy (Mary) are all returning. They will be joined by The Tomorrow War actor Sam Richardson, Tony Hale, “Teen Wolf’s” Froy Gutierrez, and Hannah Waddingham.
Ralph Winter (Hocus Pocus, X-Men franchise) and David Kirschner (Hocus Pocus, “Chucky”) are executive producing along with Adam Shankman (Hairspray, What Men Want). Lynn Harris (King Richard, The Shallows) is producing.
Hocus Pocus 2: Black Flame will premiere just in time for Halloween 2022.
