Ella Rebecca has been in love with the horror genre since an early age. The Bride of Frankenstein began her love of the classics and she's been writing and collecting since.

Earlier this week we reported that Warner Bros. confirmed that the sequel The Nun 2 is indeed on its way during the presentation at CinemaCon. The first thing fans asked was if Bonnie Aarons will reprise her role as the demon nun Valek. And the answer is yes. It wouldn’t be the same without her. The news came via writer-producer James Wan‘s Instagram account and features many pictures of Wan and Aarons from the set of The Nun.

Wikipedia describes Aaron’s character. “Valak is a powerful demon that manifests as a demonic nun to both mock the faith of its enemies and to hide among them. It also holds the title as the archenemy of the Warrens, Lorraine Warren in particular, with their rivalry starting when she exorcised it from Maurice towards the end of its origin film.”

In The Nun, directed by Corin Hardy, “A priest with a haunted past and a novice on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.

With The Nun bringing in an impressive $365 million in worldwide box offices there was little doubt we’d see a sequel. The question now is will we see The Nun‘s star Taissa Farmiga return as well?

Here’s a look back at the trailer for The Nun (review), which is available on Prime Video and other services as well as Blu-ray and DVD.
