Black Mandala has now unveiled the trailer for the supernatural horror Don’t Come Back Alive, directed by Néstor Sánchez Sotelo, producer of On the 3rd Day, White Coffin and CEO of the production company Del Toro Films.

In the words of its director: “Don’t Come Back Alive poses a scenario in which a trio of protagonists must deal with the latent threat of mysterious forces that are camouflaged around them. Our actions in the past have consequences that can turn deadly in the present”.

María Abadi, Melisa Garat, Marco de la O (protagonist of the popular Netflix series, El chapo; and was part of the cast of Rambo: Last Blood); with Ruby Vizcarra and Fiorela Duranda star.

The film centers on Camila, a young member of an elite police unit. During an operation in a dangerous area, she turns up in the middle of a ritual, in which their members burnt themselves to death. She suffers severe burns all over her body and goes into a coma. In her long recovery, her friend Fatima, a criminal prosecutor, and her partner and ex-boyfriend Ángel will help her. But Camila acts strange, she is distant and emotionless. The albino, a female figure who is attached to her soul since the ritual episode, is here to play a game with the three of them.

Don’t Come Back Alive made its world premiere at Macabro Film Festival (Mexico); and its European Premiere at BIFFF (Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival). A release date should be announced soon. In the meantime check out the new trailer.
