In 1967, writer-director Jack Hill‘s (Foxy Brown) horror Spider Baby or The Maddest Story Ever Told opened in theaters with a notable cast led by the one and only Lon Chaney Jr. (The Wolf Man).
The iconic film about a caretaker who devotes himself to three demented siblings after their father’s death is now getting a remake from writer-director-producer Dustin Ferguson, who is behind films such as Apex Predators, Ebola Rex, and Amityville in the Hood.
Ferguson has been keeping fans posted as the film develops on Facebook. Today he posted a touching statement about the remake and his love for the original film and its stars.
The script for the film has already been completed, which Ferguson also revealed on Facebook with a picture of its cover.
