Five Horror Movies Out This Week You Don’t Want To Miss (March 14-20)

There are five killer horror films coming out this week that you don’t want to miss!

 

Unwelcome 

In the film, written by Mark Stay, “A couple escapes their urban nightmare to the tranquility of rural Ireland only to hear stories of mysterious beings who live in the gnarled, ancient wood at the foot of their new garden. As warned by their new neighbors, in Irish lore, the Redcaps will come when called to help souls in dire need of rescue, but it’s crucial to remember that there is always a dear price to pay for their aid.”

 

Unwelcome opens in select theaters on March 10, 2023, as part of the AMC Thrills & Chills lineup and arrives on Digital on the 14th from Well Go USA.

 

 

 

The Lake

In the film, an eco-horror, a gigantic and bloodthirsty monster emerges from a lake after its egg is stolen and unleashes its fury on a town’s inhabitants, leaving a trail of destruction and death in its wake. The city of Bueng Kan, now cut off from the outside world, must mobilize its officials, citizens, and a group of scientists conducting research in town to catch this predator before it’s too late.’

 

A monster will be unleashed in The Lake, on March 16, 2023, in select theaters, followed by its release on Digital on March 14th. Blu-ray pre-orders will launch on March 14th. Discs will be available in retail stores on June 13th.

 

 

 

65

In 65, “After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s stranded on Earth…65 million years ago. With only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must cross an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.”

 

65 opened in theaters from Sony Pictures on March 10, 2023, and will be available on Digital this week.

 

 

 

There’s Something Wrong With The Children 

In the film, “When Margaret (Wainwright) and Ben (Gilford) take a weekend trip with longtime friends Ellie (Crew) and Thomas (Santos) and their two young children (Guiza and Mattle), Ben begins to suspect something supernatural is occurring when the kids behave strangely after disappearing into the woods overnight.”

 

The movie is out now on Digital. It comes To MGM+ this week.

 

 

 

The Ghost Within

The Ghost Within follows Margot (Michaela Longden), a young woman suffering from severe memory loss which sets out to solve the twenty-year-old mystery of her sister Evie’s death. Returning to her family home, a series of terrifying encounters with her sister’s ghost begin to bring her lost memories back. Aided by an experienced paranormal investigator, Margot’s desperation peaks when she has reason to suspect Evie was murdered at their childhood home. Will she unearth the tragic events of that terrible night to discover her sister’s killer? Or will this desperate hunt for the truth cost the lives of all involved?

 

The Ghost Within will have a day-and-date release on March 17, 2023.
