Mahal Empire’s horror-thriller Cursed Waters is sailing into pre-production this summer. Ahead of its voyage, we’ve got the first poster.
In the film, “After their ship is sunk in a naval battle, a group of pirates flee to a nearby island. However, the island is more than it seems. As they try to evade capture by the Navy, they soon find that a terrifying cult inhabits the island. What other secrets does this island hold? Can the pirates survive? Can they escape?
The cast includes Glenn Plummer (South Central, SAW II), Michael Pare’ (Eddie and the Cruisers, The Philadelphia Experiment, Hope Floats), Vernon Wells (The Road Warrior, Weird Science, Commando), and John Wells (Christmas Collision, Arena Wars, Wolf Hound).
Cursed Waters takes viewers on a journey of treasure hunting and survival with a twist. Adam Werth is at the helm of the film and serves as a writer along with Bj Mezek (Death Count, Night of the Tommyknockers, Amber Road), who also stars as Drake. Michael Su (Death Count, Night of the Tommy Knockers) will serve as Director of Photographer.
Hans Hernke, Dawna Lee Heising, and Greg Tally serve as executive producers; Cursed Waters will begin production in July of 2023.
